Popcorn Ceiling Removal

A pleasure to work with and a flawless detail oriented crew. Did an absolutely outstanding job on my basement!! So I rehired to drywall and paint garage. Would definitely call again for any future paint or remodel.

Tod and his crew did an amazing job of removing the popcorn ceilings in the vaulted rooms in the house I just purchased. They re-texturized the ceilings and painted them a clean white. I also had them paint the walls of the vaulted living room. I’m super happy with the results! Fair pricing, quality work and cleaned everything up afterwards! We had Tod and his team remove the popcorn ceilings in a new home we had just purchased. It was a big job with vaulted ceilings and Tod did excellent work for a competitive price. He was very communicative throughout the entire process and was very flexible when we added some additional dry wall repair and paint to the job. I had a plumbing issue that required drywall repair in 3 different places in my house. The main floor had different wall texture than the basement. Tod and crew were able to repair the drywall and match both textures perfectly. They respected my property and cleaned up after themselves. I would hire them again.

Tod and his team did an excellent job in mitigating our popcorn ceiling problem. The asbestos tests came back positive but Tod had already quoted us a price for skim coating and painting over the popcorn texture. The price was agreeable, the workmanship was excellent, and they did a pretty darn good job cleaning up after themselves.

I hired Tod and his crew to remove popcorn ceilings throughout my entire house. Removal, float, spray on texture, and prime. They did an awesome job. They completed the job on time and busted butt to get it done. Special thanks to Alan who worked nonstop to see that the job was completed, and Austin who did a fantastic job of refloating. Ceilings look like new. We have one more room to complete and a garage to be finished. I will absolutely be hiring them again and would recommend to anyone that needs drywall or painting services.

Tod, James (Cowboy), and their team from A to Z Custom Painting were great to work with and we would highly recommend them. We engaged their services specifically for patching drywall holes in our ceiling, as well as covering our popcorn ceiling with a joint compound. The drywall patches were quickly installed and there is no sign that the holes were ever there. As for the covering of the popcorn ceiling, we could not be happier. Tod and his team put plastic all over the ensure the mess was contained as best as possible (this was extremely dusty work) and were very accommodating for our HOA’s rules. They applied a few layers of joint compound meticulously, sanded, primed, addressed an pockmarks and re-sanded, primed again and painted our ceiling in about three weeks (one week ahead of our expected deadline and on budget). Their attention to detail was fantastic. The smooth texture of the ceiling came out pretty close to flawless. They even made a few minor fixes to some peeling paint/texture on our walls that we didn’t even ask them to! Tod was very responsive to questions and was communicative every step of the process.

We decided on a smooth ceiling rather than adding an orange peel texture and are extremely happy with that decision. No one will ever be able to tell that there is popcorn ceiling hiding underneath and it gives the condo a more modern vibe and a much needed breath of fresh air. The cost, which was considerably less than abatement (our ceiling contains asbestos), was a valuable investment. Our only regret is that we spent so much time trying to figure out other solutions and getting other quotes before contacting A to Z Custom Painting. After removing the popcorn from 2 rooms (1 vaulted) and our upstairs hallway and completely replacing a wall, we went looking for professional help with texturing and painting. A to Z was very competitive price-wise for the services we were looking for and they were able to start only a week after we contacted them. All of Tod’s guys were very respectful of us and the house as we continued to live there while the work was being done. As far as the work itself, impressed is an understatement. These guys care about the details and it shows (we did knockdown for the walls and orange peel for the ceilings). If you’re looking for professional help with texturing or painting, A to Z checks all the boxes.

We had popcorn removed from our basement ceiling. Todd and his crew were great with communication and did an amazing job on popcorn removal and painting. Todd did a great job on my ceilings he removed the old popcorn and retextured them. He went above and beyond as he textured a bunch of stuff on my walls that needed repaired ( and wasn’t part of the bid might I add). I will definitely be using him again. Great price and overall nice guy to work with.

We had a leak, insurance company sent someone out and they cut a gigantic hole in our ceiling. We hired Tod to repair the hole and to remove the popcorn from our ceiling. His rates were so reasonable we had him remove the popcorn upstairs and paint the entire house. Him and his guys did a great job, you can’t tell there was a hole there and the ceiling looks great.
